Time is ticking for bill that would help widow of Boston police officer

FOX Undercover's Mike Beaudet talks with the daughter of Boston Police Officer Kenneth Shaw who passed away from hepatitis C in 1998.

Doctors believe Shaw contracted the disease while on the job; however, Maura, his wife, never received accidental death benefits from the state because she could not pinpoint the person who gave her husband the disease.

Lawmakers have only two days, Monday and Tuesday, to pass a bill that would help the widow who has struggled to pay her bills and lost her home as a result of her husband's death. Maura Shaw is also battling breast cancer.

Rep. Sheila Harrington, one of the bill's sponsors, is urging people to contact their elected officials on Beacon Hill.
