New England Patriots dress up as Boston police on Halloween

BOSTON — While many people dressed up as their favorite princess or avenger this Halloween three Patriots players used their bye week to lean about the Boston Police Department.

Devin McCourty, LeGarrett Blount, Matthew Slater and team owner Robert Kraft, showed their support by visiting the department to learn more about the job of a Boston police officer.

The players were greeted by Commissioner Evans to discuss football and the community.

They visited a teen center at Saint Peter’s in Dorchester to watch a basketball game between the BPD and local kids from the neighborhood.

The players also geared up and went for a ride-along with members of the Youth Violence Strike Force to get a look at the work those officers do.
