DARTMOUTH, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Three men were arrested on Sunday after allegedly shooting a man.
Police say they responded at approximately 9:45 a.m. to investigate the shooting. While en route to the scene, an officer spotted the suspects' vehicle and conducted a felony stop.
The officer was able to recover the weapon and positively identify the suspects. Hakeen Mota, 19, Michael Pires, 21, and Sidney Maia, 20, were arrested and charged with assault and battery and assault with intent to murder.
The victim was treated for a single gunshot would to the leg. Police believe the shooting is not random, and that the victim knew at least one of the suspects. Authorities have labeled the shooting an "isolated incident."
All three New Bedford men are scheduled for arraignment on Monday.
