HAVERHILL (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A third suspect was arraigned on Wednesday for their alleged connection to a July 23 double homicide in Haverhill.
Jonas Rogers, 25, of Haverhill, pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder, eight counts of home invasion, seven accounts of assault with a dangerous weapon, four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of armed assault with intent to murder, and one count of carrying a firearm without a license.
Rogers will be held without bail until an August 30 probable cause hearing.
On Monday, Juan Carlos Sanchez, 20, of Haverhill pleaded not guilty to the same charges. Sanchez, who is Rogers' co-defendant, is also being held without bail until his August 30 probable cause hearing.
A 26-year-old Lawrence man was also arraigned on Monday for his alleged connection to the crime. Matthew Rogers pleaded not guilty to being an accessory after the fact to murder, and misleading a police investigation. He is being held on $25,000 cash bail and will appear in court on August 31 for a probable cause hearing.
All three men are facing charges in the murders of 19-year-old William Melchionda of Haverhill and 20-year-old Anddy Guzman of Lawrence inside Melchionda's River Street apartment.
