TEWKSBURY, Mass. — Sears and Kmart, onetime retail giants, will be closing 78 stores over the summer in hopes of keeping the doors open on the rest of their holdings.
The company announced 68 Kmart and 10 Sears locations are set to be closed by late July. Two Kmart stores will close in mid-September.
Only one Massachusetts store will be affected. The Kmart in Tewksbury will be included in the set of locations to be closed by July.
