BOSTON — Two people arrested for shooting a Dorchester man in the face appeared in court Tuesday.

Miraculously the victim is expected to survive, but his father told Boston 25 News that the bullet is lodged in his head.

David Nave spoke only to Boston 25 News. He said he arrived home from work Monday around 4:30 p.m. and walked into any parent’s worst nightmare.

He said his 20-year-old son, Anthony, was shot outside his family’s home on Center Street moments after pulling into the driveway on his scooter to visit his three younger brothers.

"He pulled in front of the house no sooner did he take the helmet off his head from his scooter, he turned and boom, that was it," Nave said.

Police said 19-year-old Kevin Woods and a 17-year-old who won’t be identified because of his age, fired shots while passing on a moped.

Nave said his son was shot in the face, and survived.

In court Tuesday, few additional details were revealed, but they were held on a high bail.

"Right here, lodged in his head, missed the temple by centimeters and it's lodged right there. They might leave the bullet, they have to do another scan to make sure there's no bleeding in there," Nave said.

Both suspects are charged with armed assault with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm with 500-feet of a dwelling and carjacking.
