BOSTON — Police arrested a 40-year-old Boston man in the South End on Saturday afternoon after that suspect allegedly shot at responding Boston Police officers and threatened people in the area with a gun, according to a release by city police. That suspect has been identified as Tyler Brown, 40, of Boston.
Authorities responded to a call of a man threatening people with a gun near 134 Northhampton St. in the city just before 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. When they arrived at the scene, police attempted to talk to the suspect, who then ran down Massachusetts Avenue near Chester Park before allegedly firing his weapon in the direction of the officers pursuing him on foot.

Brown will appear in Boston Municipal Court on Monday, May 18 and is facing the following charges:
After the suspect’s gun ran out of bullets, police placed Brown under arrest following what they called, “a violent struggle.” No injuries were reported, though multiple officers who responded to the scene were transported to a local hospital to be evaluated.
