Suspect arrested for recent knife attacks in Cambridge, Boston

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A Boston man has been arrested after three recent knife attacks.

Cambridge police said two people were injured in Harvard Square Saturday night between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. after being attacked. Boston police also had a stabbing just two hours later near Downtown Crossing.

Davongie Stone, 20, of 2E Brookline St. has been charged with two counts of armed assault to murder from Cambridge and one count of the same charge from Boston. He is also charged with armed robbery and intent to rob while armed in Boston.

Stone was arrested around 2:30 p.m. after officers spotted him walking near the Boston Common.

The Boston stabbing victim was treated for life-threatening injuries. One of the Cambridge victims was treated for serious injuries, the other was treated at the scene and given a tetanus shot.
