Suspect arrested after investigation into fatal Roxbury shooting

DORCHESTER, Mass. — A man was arrested after an investigation into a fatal shooting in Roxbury.

Police investigated the shooting for almost four months before arresting 19-year-old Stoughton resident Jerion Moore on Saturday in Dorchester.

In January, Moore allegedly shot and killed 22-year-old Revere native Alexander Mervin on Whittier Street in Roxbury.

"I want to commend and thank my Homicide Detectives for the hard work and driven dedication to justice that led to the arrest of the suspect in this case," Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said. "The long hours and meticulous attention to detail as it relates to homicide investigations can not be understated."
