After a gloomy, soggy start to the weekend, Sunday will be a brighter day. High pressure to our north will influence the area with dry conditions. Temps will be just above average reaching the mid to upper 40s. A few low 50s are possible south of Boston.
It will be a great day for any outdoor activities or if you are on the hunt to find a Christmas tree.
A changeover to rain would be seen once this warm front works north into New England. In fact, the majority of the region will see mainly rain as temps near the coast will be in the lower 40s overnight.
As the day goes on, clouds will continue to thicken ahead of an approaching warm front. This front will bring the risk of rain into the region later on tonight. However, there may a wintry mix/freezing rain in some interior locations during the onset as temperatures will be near the freezing mark. There would be no accumulation but this could cause some problems on the roads overnight and early Monday morning.
Monday will be a wet, warm and breezy day. There will be periods of rain showers as a warm front will be to our north and a cold front to our west.
Despite the unsettled weather, temperatures will climb into the 50s with some spots flirting near 60. It will still be mild for the start of the Pats game at 8:30 with a kickoff temp near 50.There will also be showers around, so bring your rain gear if you are headed to the game.
We'll see an end to the wet weather once a cold front passes through Monday night and finally clears the coast by Tuesday. Thereafter, high pressure will build into the region bringing pleasant conditions through the rest of the week.
