LYNN, Mass. — A strike involving drivers for the MBTA's ride program has been averted.
Representatives of a union of drivers for Greater Lynn Senior Services say they have reached a tentative agreement on raises and pensions.
The North Shore company is a vendor for the MBTA's ride program for disabled people.
They had threatened to strike on Tuesday, forcing the MBTA to warn customers of a potential disruption to service.
The union's 280 members must now ratify the agreement.
