BOSTON — A baby boy was inside his mother's car when it was stolen Monday night. Thankfully, the baby was found unharmed.

The car was stolen just after 9 p.m. from Washington Street in Roxbury. Boston police tell FOX25 the mother had just stepped out of her car at a gas station when the thief jumped in.

The car was recovered a short time later on West Walnut Park, which is less than a mile away from where the car was first stolen.

The baby was taken to the hospital to be checked out. He appeared okay, according to FOX25 crews at the scene.

FOX25 was there for the emotional reunion as the mother was reunited with her son; we did blur the baby's face to protect his identity.

The investigation is ongoing. The suspect is believed to be a man. No arrests have been made.
