FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Framingham-based office supply company Staples announced Thursday that it will close 70 stores this year.
The announcement was made on an earnings call when the company also announced their 2016 earnings.
The details about which stores will close have not been released, but they company has said they will be in North America.
In 2016, Staples announced plans to acquire Office Depot, although that has been stalled by federal officials.
