BOSTON, Mass. — FOX25 has learned the historic Cathedral of the Holy Cross has suffered thousands of dollars in damage.
Wednesday around 5:30 p.m., a man threw a brick through one of the original windows at the cathedral that dates back to 1875.
In the last year and a half the cathedral has undergone $4 million in renovations, including cleaning of the historic windows.
While one of the smaller windows on the building, the cost of the damage is estimated at $3,000.
The window has since been boarded up, but the area remains marked off with caution tape,
Police are actively looking for the suspect, they believe he may be a homeless man who was spotted in the area. It's unclear why the cathedral was targeted.
