Salvation Army gives out more than 2K Thanksgiving baskets

The Salvation Army distributed 2,070 Thanksgiving food baskets to local families in need Saturday.

The baskets will feed 10,500 Bostonians this Thanksgiving, and they include turkeys, stuffing and pumpkin pie.

In 2011, the Salvation Army gave out 1,200 food baskets to families in need, and each year has worked to help more people.
