Second plane crashes at Hanson airport, minor injuries reported

HANSON, Mass. — A plane has crashed at a Hanson, Massachusetts airport for the second time in just four days, according to sources.

People with knowledge of the situation tell Boston 25 News a plan has gone off the runway and landed upside down at Cranland Airport.

The two brothers were taken to area hospitals after that crash. Scott Landis, the pilot, died from his injuries Saturday morning.

The pilot has apparently been able to get out of the plane and suffered only minor injuries. The pilot was taken to South Shore Hospital to be evaluated.

On Friday, a plane crashed into a pond near Cranland Airport, killing one passenger and paralyzing another.

The passenger, Patrick Landis, was left paralyzed.
