SALEM, Mass. — Salem Police say a 26-year-old Lynn man was shot during disturbance outside a popular downtown restaurant Sunday night.
The shooting took place at about 10 p.m. Sunday in an alley next to the Brothers Taverna restaurant on Derby Street.
Responding police found a large group of people yelling and screaming in what police say was a chaotic scene.
Another man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
The unidentified shooting victim suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Salem Police tell Boston 25 News the incident was not random.
Authorities have not identified a potential suspect for the shooting.
