An active duty Rockport firefighter passed away after a battle with lung disease, according to Rockport Fire Chief James Doyle.
Doyle said 38-year-old Lietuenant Kris Juncker Jr. passed away Sunday at a Boston hospital, leaving behind his wife Jessica and father Kris Juncker Sr.

Juncker was with the department for more than 20 years, joining the department at age 18.
