FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The New England Revolution have postponed their home opener at Gillette Stadium.
The team was slated to kick off their Major League Soccer season against Orlando City Saturday at 2 p.m., but extreme weather in the forecast has pushed it to Labor Day weekend.
According to the club, forecasted wind chills below 10 degrees will make it too cold for fans and players.
All tickets for March 11 will be honored on Sept. 2 when the rematch is set to take place. You can also switch your tickets for another game by calling 1-877-GET-REVS.
The Revs next game will be Saturday, March 18, against FC Dallas at Toyota Stadium. The Revolution will be back at Gillette Stadium on March 25 against Minnesota United FC.
