Pipes bursting in a Randolph apartment building forced residents into hotels after tenants say water started to fill apartment units.
Residents at the Rosemont Square apartment complex say it was devastating watching their memories get destroyed and to have all their belongings wash away.
Residents told Boston 25 News they heard the fire alarm, then water pouring into the halls, with everything they own soaked and now destroyed.
They say they were at a loss Thursday, and were only being allowed back inside their units to grab essentials.
About a dozen people were staying at the Comfort Inn in Randolph, but those who have pets were forced to stay with family.
Residents say the management company told them it could be months before they get back inside, with some saying they are filing claims with their renter's insurance. But, they say they'll only be able to get hotels covered for the week.
Residents told Boston 25 News they haven't been able to contact the management company and feel helpless.

June Harvey has lived at the apartment building for seven years, and says, although things can be replaced, the memories like photographs and sentimental items are gone forever.
"I had looked out of my apartment one minute, nothing," Harvey said. "The next minute, pouring. Yesterday, I had a nice home. Today I’m homeless.”
Boston 25 News left several messages were left with the management company, but no there were no responses.
