PLYMOUTH, Mass. — A replacement Sir-Loin the Lobster statue is in place following the original one's destruction over the summer.
In early September, a teenager ripped a lobster state from Nelson Park in Plymouth, said police. The statue, known as Sir-Loin the Lobster, was part of a citywide art installation. The artist said she was devastated because it had taken hundreds of hours to make.
Following Sir-Loin's disappearance, the community rallied to raise money to create a new Sir-Loin.
On Friday, the Plymouth Area Chamber installed the new Sir-Loin the Lobster statue at a new location across from Plymouth Rock.
