Popular dog treat recalled over salmonella concerns

NEPTUNE CITY, NJ (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A popular dog treat could put humans and pets at risk for a dangerous illness.

Nylabone has recalled an entire lot of its puppy chews because they may contain salmonella bacteria. The "puppy starter kit" was sold nationwide.

The recalled treats have an expiration date of March 22, 2018.

Salmonella can cause fatigue, fever and other ailments. Humans who handle the treats are also at risk.
