Quinsigamond Community College closed due to shooter threat

WORCESTER, Mass. — All classes at all Quinsigamond Community College campuses were canceled Thursday after an active shooter threat.

"It's chaotic," said Maryan Chavez, a student.

This is the second consecutive threat the college has received; Wednesday night the school received a bomb threat. Thursday morning, students and staff at Quinsigamond Community College were told to evacuate due to the shooter threat on the main campus.

"Thought they closed classes yesterday, we'd come back and everything would be fine and today they found a second note," said student Jeremy Johnson.

The main campus is located on Boylston Street in Worcester.  Those who hadn't heard the news and arrived at campus were met by armed police officers who securing the scene during the investigation.

Investigators told FOX25's Crytsal Haynes that they believe they know who is responsible for these threats and are still actively investigating.
