BOSTON — Protesters chained themselves to the entrance of TD Bank Thursday morning.
The call came in to police around 9:43 a.m. Seven protesters chained themselves to the entrance of the TD Bank on Winter Street in Downtown Crossing.
The protesters were with an organization known as FANG, which stands for Fighting Against Natural Gas. The protesters told FOX25 they were protesting the pipeline work in the Dakotas and said they were targeting TD Banks due to their financing of the project.
“I am here today to respond to the call from native and indigenous Water Protectors at Standing Rock, who have asked for solidarity in the ongoing fight to protest their sacred sites and the life giving Missouri River,” said one of the protesters in a news release.
