State rep., PR strategist among newest members of Walsh administration

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Boston Mayor Marty Walsh announced several appointments to his cabinet Tuesday.

Mayor Walsh named Joyce Linehan of Ashmont Media as his chief of policy. Linehan served on Walsh's transition team following his win in the mayoral election.

Other key appointments include Democratic State Rep. Eugene O'Flaherty of Chelsea as corporation counsel, as well as former Menino aide and campaign field director Joe Rull as chief of operations.

Keith Williams, currently listed on the city's website as the associate director of Neighborhood Services, was named interim director of the Office of Small Business and Enterprise.

Walsh also named Alejandra St. Guillen as interim director of the Office of New Bostonians. St. Guillen is executive director of Oiste, an organization aimed at advancing the political, social, and economic standing of Latinos and Latinas in Massachusetts.

Mayor Walsh's announcement comes just one day after he was sworn in as Boston's 54th mayor.

During the weekend prior to his inauguration, Walsh named Huffington Post General Manager Daniel Arrigg Koh as his Chief of Staff and former mayoral candidate and City Councilor-At-Large Felix Arroyo as the Chief of Health and Human Services.

Boston Housing Authority Chief of Staff Trinh Nguyen has been given the title of interim director of the Office of Jobs.
