Police: Woman got car stuck in three foot sinkhole

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) – Police in Boston were monitoring a sinkhole that occurred on Aspinwall Road near Codman Square in Dorchester on Saturday.

Police responded to the area around 2:22 p.m. for a report of a car into a hole in the middle of the street.

The victim told police that she was traveling southbound on Washington Street when her car came to a sudden stop. She suffered neck and back pain and was transported to Carney Hospital.

According to police, the sinkhole was approximately three feet in diameter and three feet deep.

Officers closed the roads leading into the area until the hole was filled in by Boston Public Works.

The car had to be towed out of the hole.
