UXBRIDGE, Mass. – Police are warning parents about a potentially dangerous seed which they say has effects similar to LSD.
In Uxbridge, a 17-year-old got a hold of Hawaiian baby woodrose seeds and ate them. His experience was so bad he was begging for help from a complete stranger.

Police said the seeds were purchased legally online and shipped to his home. Consuming the seeds can cause hallucinations that mimic LSD and can even have psychedelic visual effects.
While many people who spoke with Boston 25 News in Uxbridge said they hadn’t heard of the plant and wouldn’t eat seeds, police say it’s an important warning for parents.
