Police: UVM students stole fraternity's chicken, ate it

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — University of Vermont Police say three students are accused of stealing a chicken from a Burlington fraternity house, killing it and eating it at a dormitory.

UVM deputy police chief says 18-year-old Cameron Dube is expected to appear in court Thursday on possible charges of unlawful trespass, possession of stolen property and animal cruelty.

It was not immediately known if Dube is being represented by a lawyer.

Prosecutors have declined to charge two other 18-year-olds and instead referred their cases to a reparative justice board.
