BOSTON — With about 30,000 runners and hundreds of thousands of spectators expected for the 122nd Boston Marathon Monday, the Boston Police Department said it’s ready to handle security.
Police will be stationed everywhere in the city.
There will be observation teams on roofs, and SWAT teams, bomb sniffing dogs and hazmat crews will be out in force.
Police and race organizers are reminding everyone to not bring any large bags, because that could slow down security checkpoints.
Emergency officials said there is no threat against this year’s race.
