BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police have released the names of the victims in a double fatal crash on the Jamaicaway.
Officials responded to reports of a head on collision just before 3 a.m. on Sunday, where a BMW with three occupants struck a Toyota Camry with two occupants.
Two passengers of the BMW -- Maria Hernandez, 44, of Everett, and Luz Puentes-Sheets, 33, of Revere -- were pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the women did not have their seat belts on. The driver of the BMW, 26-year-old Jennifer Guzman of Hyde Park, was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Toyota occupants were also transported to the hospital. The driver, Cesar Viasus, 36, of Roslindale had non-life threatening injuries. The passenger of the Toyota, Luis Parra, 43, of Roslindale, is in recovery after sustaining serious injuries.
The initial investigation indicated that the BMW had crossed the center line markers, causing a head on collision.
