STOUGHTON, Mass. -- Two people are dead after a serious crash involving a pickup truck in Stoughton.
According to the police chief, the crash happened on Plain Street around 5:09 p.m.
The victims have not been identified because police said their families have not been notified.
There were no other people or vehicles involved in the crash.
Sky25 was above the scene as emergency workers began their investigation. Reporter Jacob Long was also on the ground shortly after the crash and shared images that show the heavily damaged truck.
There is a large debris field around the crash scene, including a bicycle which investigators said was in the bed of the truck at the time.
People who live nearby said they couldn't believe the impact of the crash.
"I was at my house and I just heard this bang, real huge bang. Something really bad happened,” Mary Dolvale said. “I think I said, 'oh my God. They can't be alive.'"
