Police: NH man hit wife with car, drove away

HOLLIS, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) – A New Hampshire man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly hit his wife with the front end of their car in a parking lot and drove away.

Marc E. Gamache, 50, of Nashua, has been charged with reckless conduct and simple assault.

Officers responded to the Alpine Banquet Road on S. Depot Road in Hollis at about 10:20 p.m. for reports of a woman who had been hit by a car.

The victim was knocked to the ground and sustained a minor head injury; however, she was not transported to the hospital.

Following an initial investigation, officers determined the victim had been in an argument with her husband prior to the incident. Witnesses told police a man, later identified as Gamache, hit the victim with the car and left the parking lot.

Gamache was identified as the suspect and was taken into custody at his home. He was subsequently released on $5,000 cash or surety bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 4.
