Police name suspect in 3-year-old suspected murder case in Quincy

QUINCY, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- The family of a Quincy woman found renewed hope for justice Saturday, three years after her disappearance and suspected murder.

The Norfolk District Attorney released the name of the man they believe killed Evelin Valibayova. She vanished from her Quincy apartment in the summer of 2011 and left a blood soaked carpet behind.

Her boyfriend at the time said he was suspicious of a man, John Castonguay, who was performing repair work in her apartment. Castonguay has been convicted of kidnapping and raping a child, but was paroled early.

Prosecutors have now named him as a suspect, but have stopped short of charging him in Valibayova's disappearance.

Castonguay is currently serving time prison for unrelated charges.
