Police: Motorists stopped in Everett hid cocaine in child seat

EVERETT, Mass. (AP) - Massachusetts State Police say they found two kilograms of cocaine hidden in a child's car seat during a traffic stop, even though there was no child in the car.

A trooper on patrol on Route 28 in Medford on Saturday pulled over a vehicle with New Jersey plates after witnessing it commit moving violations, including failure to signal and marked lanes violations.

The car was pulled over in Everett.

The occupants, 24-year-old driver Royer Vasquez Delrosario of Garfield, N.J., and passenger, 29-year-old Victor Nicolas Soto Sanchez of Bronx, N.Y., were arrested on cocaine trafficking charges.

Police say they discovered the cocaine during a search of the vehicle.

Both were held over the weekend on $10,000 bail pending arraignment Monday. It could not be determined if they had lawyers.
