BRIGHTON, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) – Boston police are searching for a man they said poured lighter fluid on a box spring mattress on a woman's porch.
Police were called to 15 Chester Street in Brighton after the woman said she saw a man on her porch pouring liquid from a blue can on the mattress and some trash.
When the woman confronted the man, he reportedly said, "this is a message for the people upstairs." The man then jumped off the porch and ran toward Comm. Ave.
Anyone with information is asked to call Boston Police.
Police were searching for the man. He is described as in his early- to mid-30s with brown curly hair that was slicked back. He was wearing a dark leather coat and blue jeans.
