DANVILLE, N.H. — Police in Danville, New Hampshire are investigating the death of an electrician whose body was found outside of a woman's home.

Kristine Dusombre says she's still in shocked after discovering a man's burned body outside her Danville home.

"It took my breath away, I was shaking, it just didn't seem like it was real. Like, it couldn't be real," said Dusombre.

She says a man had been hired to do electrical work on the utility pole next to her home. She came home from work early Wednesday afternoon and began cleaning up the yard.

"I saw his tools and stuff up on the stump. I didn't see him, and then I went about my business and I'm picking up the trash and I just happened to turn around and there he was," she said.

Danville Police say the man likely died of electrocution while on the job.

Dusombre says she noticed tire burns on her son's pedal car just feet from where she discovered the body.

Eversource officials say the electrician was not employed by them.

Dusombre says she's devastated for the man's family and says he had completed work at other homes in the community in the past.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

The man's identity has not been released.
