Police looking for missing UNH student

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — Police at the University of New Hampshire say they're looking for a missing 19-year-old student.

Police don't suspect foul play in the disappearance of Jonathan Zygmont of Windham. But they're concerned for his well-being because he was believed to be having relationship difficulties and was despondent.

Zygmont was last seen in Portsmouth near Prescott Park at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

UNH officials are working cooperatively with law enforcement agencies in the Seacoast area, including police in Portsmouth, Kittery, Maine, the New Hampshire Marine Patrol and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Zygmont is described as a white male, 5-feet-11 and 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing black shoes, khaki pants, and a brown sweatshirt with the word "Burton" on it in red lettering. He was carrying a black North Face backpack.
