Police aren’t saying if the cellphone in question was potentially planted somewhere in the stall or if there may have been someone else in the bathroom holding the device.

"Everyone’s got their cell phone nowadays and you really never know when you’re being recorded, you either protect yourself at all times or you don’t care," said Ed Nunez, who works in the complex.

Employees say a lot of people come and go from the complex each day. The man who reported the recording device also works at the complex, which houses a number of different businesses.

Several employees from different businesses in the complex are questioning why Brookwood Properties, the managing company, didn't alert them of the police investigation.

Boston 25 News reached out to Brookwood Properties for comment, but have not heard back.
