Police investigate two shootings in Roxbury, Mattapan

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Boston police are investigating two shootings, one of which resulted in a fatality.

The first shooting occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of McGreevey Way in Roxbury. A man in his 20s was found behind a building suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Brigham and Women's Hospital with life threatening injuries. The victim's condition was not updated Saturday afternoon.

A second shooting happened just before 1 p.m. at 88 Wellington Hill Street in Mattapan. Investigators say a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses say they saw two cars exchange gunshots before the victim's car crashed into a parked car.

Police are looking for a light green RAV-type vehicle with the partial Mass. license plate number "875" in connection to the Wellington Hill Street shooting.
