SCITUATE, Mass. – South Shore residents are on alert after home break-ins in Scituate and Norwell that police believe could be connected.
The first incident happened around 2 a.m. when a resident of Neal Gate Road in Scituate encountered a man in their kitchen.

The suspect, who was said to be wearing dark clothing and a mask, fled. Police responded immediately but were unable to find him.
Around 7 a.m., a resident of Norwell reported that they found their wallet and credit cards in the driveway after someone entered the home overnight.

Police are advising residents of the area to be extra careful about locking their homes and vehicles at all times, especially overnight.
