BOSTON — A plane full of passengers was hit by a van at Logan Airport Friday morning. The crash happened just after 6 a.m. at JetBlue Gate 11.

The fueling van rolled underneath plane and struck the wing. The truck was stopped before striking another plane. A passenger on board Flight 891 to Tampa said the pilot was calm under pressure as she described the damage.

A source tells FOX25 that the driver of the van was a Swissport employee. According to our source, the driver said he put the van in park and went to help other ramp employees when it rolled underneath the plane.

"It was a big jolt," the passenger wrote to FOX25. "Pilots reacted quickly."

Passengers unboarded the plane following the crash and were loaded onto a new plane. Fortunately, no one was injured.

According to MassPort, the struck plane was taken out of service. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
