PEMBROKE, Mass. — A two-story home in Pembroke was destroyed by fire Tuesday morning.

According to fire officials, the blaze started around 9:15 a.m. and no one was inside at the time.

While the fire marshal said he doesn’t yet know what started it, he did say it wasn’t caused by fireworks.

Hanson and Duxbury Fire Departments were called in to help fight the flames.

The fire department said they wouldn't be able to determine a cause because of the holiday, as the accelerant sniffing dogs are at the Charles River Esplanade for the Boston Pops concert.
