Pedestrian struck, killed by motor vehicle in Weymouth

A St. Louis police officer is accused of driving a van too roughly to punish two prisoners, court documents claim.

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a motor vehicle in Weymouth, according to Weymouth Police

The crash happened on Route 18 near 140 Winter Street around 5:45 p.m. Sunday night.

The victim was identified as 29-year-old Weymouth native Jacob Deitsch, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney.

The incident is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police CARS unit, Weymouth PD and Norfolk DA's office.
