CHARLTON, Mass. — A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday night in Charlton.
Police said the crash happened on Route 20 around 8:30 p.m. and the car remained on scene.
The pedestrian, a 50-year-old Charlton man, was transported to the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, but was later pronounced dead.
There is no word yet on whether the driver is facing any charges.
According to officials, there is no crosswalk or traffic lights where the man was trying to cross the highway.
The crash remains under investigation.
