LONDONDERRY, NH — A woman was robbed by two women while she was loaded groceries into her car in Londonderry, police say.
On Saturday afternoon, police say a woman was in the Market Basket parking lot loading groceries into her car when two females in a car approached her. The driver asked the woman for a cigarette, got out of the car and grabbed the woman’s purse. She got back into the car and when the victim tried to get her purse back, police say she was dragged several feet.
The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The victim’s husband called their credit card company and learned it had been used at a Walmart in Methuen. Police say Walmart is working to get surveillance pictures of the females in the store.
The victim described the driver as a woman with light brown hair and a visible tattoo on her chest. Witnesses could not tell if the car had Massachusetts or New Hampshire plates.
Anyone with information on this robbery or the suspects is asked to call Londonderry police at (603)432-1118.
