Thousands of Patriots fans lined the practice fields aside Gillette Stadium, at various times chanting, "Brady! Brady!" as the defending Super Bowl champs returned to work for 2015 Training Camp.
Brady was warmly welcomed to the practice field by the crowd, who gave both him and Patriots chairman and CEO Robert Kraft standing ovations upon their arrivals.
Brady did not speak after practice, which ran just over two hours.
The players did not wear jerseys with numbers, which made identifying individuals challenging for fans, many of whom had rosters that were useless without numbers to reference.
Team officials have previously said practicing without numbers is good for team bonding, as it makes players learn each others' names as opposed to calling each other by number.
The highlight of Thursday's workout was when Brady made a one-handed reception of a pass thrown by wide receiver Julian Edelman on a flea-flicker. Fans erupted with cheers.
