BOSTON — Though it was a mostly trouble-free celebration of the World Series in Boston Sunday night, police say the one person they arrested was in serious danger.
Police say 5,000-6,000 fans were on the Common celebrating the win when an arrest was made.

One man was arrested climbing up a light post and smashing the outer casing on the Common. According to police, it the inner bulb had broken, the man likely would have been electrocuted.

But save for the damage to a historic light pole, Boston police say it was a peaceful assembly and good times for Boston Red Sox fans.

Boston Police say some mutual aid was called in from University of Massachusetts Police and Quincy Police in preparation for up to 30,000 people.
