Her body was found just before midnight Tuesday about 100-feet from train tracks at Oak Street and Crapo Street. Officials say the call came in after someone saw a suspicious vehicle and two people in the area. Upon arrival, Bridgewater Police discovered a fire on the west side of the tracks and determined that it was a human body burning. Bridgewater Fire extinguished the fire.
Her hands were bound behind her back and to her feet. Police have not said whether or not she was killed prior to being set on fire.
Police believe this was a targeted act and the public is not in danger. Additionally, this murder does not appear to be connected to the body burned in a car fire in Worcester, which happened Wednesday night.
