Obama's credit card declined in NYC

WASHINGTON, D.C. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- President Barack Obama may need to check his credit card balance more often, as the US leader's plastic was declined at a New York City restaurant last month.

Obama admitted that his card was declined when he was addressing employees of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington Friday, according to CNN.

"I guess I don't use it enough, so they thought there was some fraud going on," the president said. "Luckily, Michelle had hers. I was trying to explain to the waitress that I've really been paying my bills."

The Obamas were at Estela, a restaurant in Manhattan, when the card was declined.
