Norwood firefighters deliver baby in thrift store parking lot

NORWOOD, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Firefighters were able to save the day when a Norwood family's first child came a little earlier than expected.

The family was en route to Brigham and Woman's Hospital on Thursday morning to deliver their first child when the baby girl just couldn't wait.

The call came into the fire department around 7 a.m. of a woman in labor. Firefighters George Burton, Ed Fitzgeral, Scoot St. Cyr and Steve McDonough rushed to the scene to help the new mom deliver a healthy baby girl right in the parking lot of Savers on Route 1.
